CAROLYN POWELL

Carolyn Powell, PhD from Tuscaloosa, Alabama is a Life Member of SCI and served as International Board Chair for SCI’s Life Hunter Advocate Society (LHAS) from 2020 - 2022, and served as LHAS Secretary of the Board from 2018 – 2020 to support projects for advocacy, lobbying and marketing endeavors. Carolyn is a member of the Safari Club International Foundation (SCIF) that supports science-based and research-driven endeavors for wildlife conservation and sustainable use of wildlife resources. She is also a life member of SCI’s Sables that supports projects to enhance education and outreach efforts. Long-time member of the Alabama Chapter for SCI, Carolyn is excited to become more involved on a state level furthering the mission of SCI as a newly elected Board member. Carolyn and her husband Holland hunt in the U.S. and abroad garnering record book trophies while supporting conservation, education, and advocacy for hunters for a sustainable future.
