ABOUT US

SCI is the leader in protecting the freedom to hunt and in promoting wildlife conservation worldwide.

Being a nonprofit organization dedicated to education, the conservation of wildlife, and the preservation of our hunting rights, our money goes to these causes. The money to further these causes comes primarily from our annual fundraising banquet. Since the first of the year 2000, our chapter has donated over $300,000 to causes we feel are worthwhile. Over 80% of our money has been spent in Alabama for education, conservation, and humanitarian services.

Our Mission as Alabama’s SCI Chapter:

  • To advocate, preserve and protect the rights of all hunters.

  • To promote safe, legal and ethical sport hunting and related activities;

  • Within the limits of the law and regulations, to monitor, support, educate, or otherwise take positions on local, national and international legislation, executive, judicial or organizational endeavors that foster and support these purposes and objectives;

  • To collect, organize and distribute educational information and data regarding animal species worldwide.

  • To inform and educate the public concerning hunting and related activities.
