JACK LYLE

I am a new board member of the Alabama Chapter of SCI. I’ve been a chapter member since the late 90’s or early 2000’s. I’ve made numerous SCI friendships over the years and cherish each and every one!

I owe my love for hunting to my late father who was always willing to share his time with me. I have been an avid hunter since the age of 5 when my father and older brother arranged a brief hunt for me with my Daisy BB gun. I was immediately hooked and have since had the privilege to hunt and fish all over the continental U.S., Alaska, Canada, Mexico, Bolivia, and New Zealand.

Although I’ve taken numerous whitetail, mule deer, elk and pronghorn, upland hunting is my passion. My annual South Dakota pheasant hunt is a mainstay, but my favorite upland hunt is for quail over a well-trained brace of dogs with my old Remington 1100 .410 shotgun.

My teenage son, Jackson, is following the family tradition and is a SCI Junior Member and an accomplished hunter in his own right. My wife, Tracy, also enjoys hunting and, to date, she’s never missed with her .243!

I look forward to serving the Alabama Chapter as we collectively endeavor to protect our hunting heritage for future generations.
